Heromakers Movement

Slide truth: our world is hurting. bigger truth: you can make it better.

Our world is looking for Heromakers.

Our world is looking for you.

Do you hear the word heromaker and immediately say, “Well, that’s not me”? For many of us, being a heromaker (or a hero, for that matter) is unattainable, set aside for a select few. But as we look around at a world in crisis, what if we believed that we could make things a little bit better?

Here’s the simple truth: your life does matter, and you can make a difference. You can be the person who changes a life forever. We believe there is a hero inside of you. And that you can help others to be the heroes they were made to be as well.

the ability to press forward and fight for good even when you don’t think you can

seeing one another not as “an other” but as an equal

Suffering Well

Suffering Well:

enduring difficulties and challenges with grit and courage

keeping going despite the challenges

thinking others more important than ourselves

Consider This:

In her short span of life, Anne Frank used what means she had to expose both the horrible tragedy of life and the limitless potential of it. How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment…

We are in the midst of a global pandemic that is causing untold amounts of emotional, physical, economic, psychological, and social trauma. And in America and across the world, this generation is confronting injustice and marginalization with a commitment that at times feels unsustainable. And yet we press on for the sake of others.

More than 75 years ago, an unknown girl in the Netherlands kept a diary of another time in our world when our edges were frayed and our world was unraveling. As death loomed large and evil ran rampant, she penned these words that would inspire countless people to be the heroes they were made to be: “How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.”

Sometimes we all just need a little inspiration...

Being a heromakers isn’t hard. It’s just inspiring others through what you say or do or by simply who you are to be better and do better. Check out some words of wisdom from some more well-known heromakers. Scroll over each quote and it will flip to who said it.

If you could only sense how important you are to the lives of those you meet; how important you can be to the people you may never even dream of. There is something of yourself that you leave at every meeting with another person.

Nelson Mandela
